Quizzes, exams, and flashcards about Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: KS2 Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling.
← 11+ and KS2 SATs
This is the paper with the most learnable content in the whole set, because nearly all of it is terminology and rules rather than judgement: what a subordinate clause is, where a comma goes in a list and where it does not, which word in a sentence is the subject, when an apostrophe marks possession and when it marks a missing letter, and what the passive voice looks like. A pupil who knows the names of things can answer most of it. One practical note about the format used here: a multiple-choice quiz cannot offer four versions of a sentence that differ only by a comma, so the punctuation questions ask which change would make a sentence correct, with the options written out in words. The rule being tested is the same one; only the way of asking is different from the real paper.
