GCSE Business is examined across two papers that between them cover a firm from its first idea to its place in a global market: enterprise and ownership, the marketing mix, recruiting and motivating people, producing and supplying goods, and the money that makes all of it possible. The calculations carry a disproportionate share of the marks — break-even, cash flow, gross and net profit margins — and they are where practice pays off fastest, because a method that is nearly right earns nothing. Practice here mixes those calculations with the definitions, the case-style judgements and the influences (technology, ethics, legislation, the wider economy) that the extended answers are built on.
