← A-Level
A-Level Mathematics builds on GCSE across three strands: pure mathematics (algebra, functions, coordinate geometry, sequences, trigonometry and calculus), statistics (data presentation, probability, and statistical distributions and hypothesis testing), and mechanics (kinematics, forces and Newton's laws, and moments). Questions are pitched across both AS and full A-Level difficulty, reflecting how the specification builds from simpler techniques toward multi-step problem solving.
A levels are awarded by AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC/Eduqas and CCEA, and regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA Regulation, the regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
