Climate change is assessed in GCSE Geography as a rigorous evidence-and-response topic, not a talking point — and the mark schemes reward students who can separate evidence from causes, natural factors from human ones, and mitigation from adaptation. This quiz drills exactly those separations.
The evidence questions cover the sources geographers actually use: ice cores and tree rings as proxies for reconstructing climate before instrumental records existed, alongside modern temperature records, glacial retreat and sea level rise as present-day indicators. Distractors deliberately cross the boundary, because misclassifying a sea wall as mitigation is the single most common error on this topic.
